I Have been to this office twice and I've only seen the doctor once! The second and last time I went to this office I was in a full waiting room for over an hour only to be told I won't be seen in time to make it to another doctor appointment I had in the next town over and I can either cancel my other appointment and wait or schedule another. The receptionist informed me that the doctor's policy is to see emergencies first which I understand, but what I don't understand Is how they didn't bother to mention that before a sat down just to wait! They had zero remorse or compassion for the fact that I waited for nothing and that I didn't have another free day to schedule another appointment! The doctor himself is fine no complaints but with people who were downright rude and not concerned about the patient why would I want to go there?

I have been wearing corrective lenses since 1980. I was in fourth grade when I recieved my first eye glasses - as a result I have been visiting eye doctors routinely my entire life. Dr. Schmidt and his group at Bladen Eye have been great over the last five years that I have been seeing him. In fact, I trust my eyes to no one else. I read the previous reveiw and could not help but think about what causes delays....maybe there is an emergency - that is understandable, but also when I am meeting with Dr. Schmidt or any of his staff they always take the time to make certain that all of my questions are answered without making me feel rushed. It may take you a few extra minutes to get seen - but I would rather wait for someone who knows what they are doing and is willing to take the time to make certain I understand than be seen immediately by someone who really does not care. I would highly reccomend them to anyone -- in fact I have to both the E-Town location as well as their Wilmington.
They explain everything I needed to know about my eyes very well. Had a good visit. And was very nice. Thank You
Been going to Dr. Schmidt since I was 11 years old! I am now 28 and am going to continue going to him! He's a great doctor and unlike the previous review, I've seen the doctor every time I've been there. Usually when that happens, he is in an emergency or something of those sorts. Overall, a great practice with great staff!
